- Advertising. The internet is loaded with websites that you can advertise your car cheaply and effectively. Get on as many sites as possible and if you are looking for a really quick sale then you can even consider auction sites. You still have the ability to retain a reserved price so it doesn’t mean that you will be giving it away.
- Tyres. Tyres are not an expense that anyone will want to pay when they are buying your car. If you don’t put on new tyres expect them to want to knock the price off anyway. New tyres are just good preparation for selling your car. Buy them a few months before you are wanting to sell that way you get some use out of them without just paying for nothing.
- History. Service history is one of the best things that you can do to help you sell your car. It is not only proof that you had your car maintained it shows that you are a good owner and will help the buyer believe that you treated the car well when you were driving.
- Touch up. The duco of the car will have a great effect on the value of the car because it is so much of the way that the car looks. If you can find someone that can do a touch-up of your duco without costing you much and giving you paint a good polish, you will be more likely to sell it faster.
- Rubbers and accessories. Rubbers are the first thing to go on any used car. Replacing them and finding cheap replacement minor parts for the interior of your car will go a long way to giving it that new feeling. Remember there are many companies that make replacement parts for your car at much reduced prices. Adding some special accessories such as a blue tooth hands free car kit and other smaller modern accessories will make your car more appealing to those even interested in later models.
- Roadworthy. By not having a roadworthy certificate you are looking for trouble. It will turn of many potential buyers instantly. Even if there is nothing wrong with your car it leads to suspicion.
You are in competition just like any business when you are selling your car and the more attractive you can make it means a better selling price. Look at your competition in the market and see what it takes for you to get yourself a better deal.
