As it turns out, one of the best features of a blog is that anyone really can start one and it’s really easily. As you probably know already Blogs along with social bookmarking is the core of what has come to be called web 2.0, instant and interactive social journalism.
Remember, here’s what this is all about. For the blog writers, blogging is about creative expression with the possibility of making or changing minds. And for the blog reader it’s about an interactive discussion revolving around a topic of interest.
Anyway, Blogs are a instrument of personal expression, and at times they may become a means of coaching others. They offer credible ways to present and publish your ideas or important information as well as a means to gather a steadfast readership to yourself.
As a result, you may well come to think of your blog as your own private publishing platform, but in reality you must remember it’s social publishing platform, a way for others to share as well and get involved in the conversations, an evolving book if you will. And, of course, a book that if properly promoted could bring in a lucrative income. Making consistent quality posts to your blog is a skill that must be practiced, like any other skill to become proficient at it.
I can easily remember when one of the most effective ways to get someone to your website was to write and post articles to the popular article directories. Then the thought was if so, why not just write articles and post them to your own blog and let your RSS feeds bring in the visitors, which may have worked some.
Not only that, but. The fact is, if you are able to develop a popular blog you could include ads and affiliate programs and make possibly some money from your efforts. With enough traffic to your blog there would be readers who would follow the links or click on the ads if they were relevant.
And it’s getting even easier, the times are finally changing, and for the better. Because, believe it or not there are a plethora of plugins available for blogging software, and many of them are free for the downloading.
