The emergence of blogs across the internet is a testimony to their popularity as an effective advertising tool.

But they don’t just stop right there for the savvy user. Be it product promotion, marketing research, or building loyalty, blogs have the ability to fill many objectives for both on and off line businesses. In fact, due to freedom of expression format encouraged by most blogs, it has become a tremendous tool to gather feedback on your competitors, promotional strategies, and products. Accurate, candid feedback for virtually no cost! That’s hard to beat. No, that’s impossible to beat.
Blog entries are generally brief, concise, and filled with personality. These entries are normally arranged in a reverse chronological order making access to previously posted information a breeze. Additionally, unlike a ‘conventional’ website, blogs are know to have continuously updated content posted to them frequently.
Another widely popular feature of blogs is the ease of publishing content to the web. The need to know HTML coding or how to navigate FTP programs is virtually eliminated by blogging software. Publishing content has been made as easy as jotting notes on a piece of paper.
As previously mentioned blogs are very effective at building and maintaining customer loyalty in big part due to the interactive exchange between the blogger and readers. It is human nature to want to be heard and responded to. The readers now feel more part of the process like they would in the normal give and take of any conversation.
Depending upon your commitment to posting frequently and with good content, blogging to market your business could be the low cost/high yield effective advertising tool you need to take your business to the next level. Also, the ability to link to other blogs of similar interest could open up additional avenues in which to promote your business, products, or ideas further catapulting your results with little effort. If you don’t already blog, look into it today. If you do have a blog that’s semi-inactive, get off your duff and post some new stuff! Toasting your blogging success!
