According to a Las Vegas road crash report by the nonprofit AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety, distracted driving is on the rise at 88%, and is the leading most risky behavior in the roads today. Aggressive driving is second, at 68%, followed by drug driving and drunk driving at 55% and 43% respectively. In another report, Las Vegas is ranked 144 of 200 cities for driver safety. Drivers in Las Vegas are 21% more likely to get involved in a crash than the national average.
Common causes of car accidents in Las Vegas
Going by the survey, the top cause of car accidents in the state is driver inattention/distraction. Distracted driving can be described as doing anything that takes the drivers mind from driving, eyes from the road or hands from the steering wheel.
